    COVID-19 Closure Notice

    In keeping with the Mayor’s response to COVID-19 and an update from Hastings Prince Edward Public Health posted on the County’s website on March 15, 2020, and the subsequent notice issued by the County that all recreation facilities, museums and town halls are closed, please be advised that the Picton Town hall is closed. We are endeavouring to contact all users either via social media, our website or via email, and signage has been posted at the hall. At this time, we are not aware when the hall will re-open.     Farmers Market a Reality!

    Oh, yes- it’s true!!!! We’ve finally won in establishing a farmers’ market at the Picton Town Hall! Please help us spread the word and complete our survey below if you’d like to get involved! After 3 years of deputations before Council, and now working in collaboration with the newly established Picton Town Hall Board of Management, we have succeeded in getting a venue for a true farmers’ market for Picton – Picton’s historic Town Hall (which was donated to The County for the very purpose of a Farmers’ Market!).     Meet your new Picton Town Hall Board of Management

    Following Council’s appointment of the group’s proposed members for the Board of Management, and the appointment of Councillor Phil St-Jean to the Board in a non-voting capacity, the Picton Town Board of Management has been established. Meet your new team! The first meeting of the Board was held on July 8 together with members of the SPTH Working Group, and the group continues to meet regularly to tackle all administrative tasks for the Town Hall, from bookings and maintenance, to fundraising and financial management, to establishing a plan for the lower level.
