    Opening Soon!

    The County has announced its plan to gradually reopen its buildings starting July 31st. The Board of Management is working closely with County staff to ensure we reopen safely with new protocols including: the requirement to wear a mask while in the Hall; the capacity of the Hall is limited to 45 persons; the need for additional cleaning in between uses; and, the need to sign a waiver prior to use (we are clarifying who this applies to) In the meantime, we are also working with The County on a new booking system which will be available on our website soon!     Farmers Market Update

    The opening of the Picton Farmers Market has been suspended until further notice due to the pandemic. In the meantime, we are looking for farmers, growers, and makers to join the Picton Town Hall team so we are ready to hit the ground running in 2021. It’s times like these when the need for a strong, supportive community is vital to the health and well-being of us all. We are calling for volunteers to help us manage critical services so we are ready to reopen the Picton Town Hall when regulations allow people to return.     COVID-19 Closure Notice

    In keeping with the Mayor’s response to COVID-19 and an update from Hastings Prince Edward Public Health posted on the County’s website on March 15, 2020, and the subsequent notice issued by the County that all recreation facilities, museums and town halls are closed, please be advised that the Picton Town hall is closed. We are endeavouring to contact all users either via social media, our website or via email, and signage has been posted at the hall. At this time, we are not aware when the hall will re-open.     Meet your new Picton Town Hall Board of Management

    Following Council’s appointment of the group’s proposed members for the Board of Management, and the appointment of Councillor Phil St-Jean to the Board in a non-voting capacity, the Picton Town Board of Management has been established. Meet your new team! The first meeting of the Board was held on July 8 together with members of the SPTH Working Group, and the group continues to meet regularly to tackle all administrative tasks for the Town Hall, from bookings and maintenance, to fundraising and financial management, to establishing a plan for the lower level.
