A Historic Event at Picton Town Hall!
Please join us and your community to celebrate the occasion of the very first public Picton Farmers Market this century to be held at its original site at 2 Ross Street on Sunday, October 4, and Sunday, October 11 from 10 am to 4 pm.
County-wide ~ County Pride
Shop for produce and artisanal products from local growers and makers and enjoy! When you buy direct from local growers and makers, you experience the quality that comes from the personal passion and care of the producer. You feel good about it, the local economy is strengthened and we all win! Markets create a community hub that contributes to food security and economic security for farmers and makers. Come out and have some while showing your support for a thriving, equitable community.
We have been very careful to comply with all public health requirements and are approved to hold the market:
- A one-way system is in place around the stalls
- Sanitizers are available
- Masks will be worn
- All vendors are appropriately distanced and the event is in the open air
There is free parking in the King St. parking lot on the North side of the street, opposite Benson Park. There is a free electric charging station there.
Local farmers and other producers are encouraged to participate as vendors. Spaces are still available. Please contact Elis at the address below for more information and registration details.
Volunteer to help!
Because of Covid19, we put the season-long farmers’ market in Picton on pause for 2020. Now we are looking for people to join a farmers’ market sub-committee over the winter to work towards an independent, non-profit entity. Please contact Elis, chair of the Picton Town Hall board if you can help: firstname.lastname@example.org
