Come and share some joy after a tough year
Market goers and vendors were so enthusiastic about the October farmers’ markets at Market Square in Picton that they suggested a holiday market. That wish is coming true. Come along on December 12 and you can catch up with masked friends in the fresh air, socially distanced of course! And shop for treats and gifts, large and small from 100% local growers, producers and makers.
Check the Picton Town Hall Facebook page to keep up with unique items and one-time offerings. There will be a 12 days of Christmas listing of goodies on Facebook to tempt you to shop local.
We have been very careful to comply with all public health requirements and are approved to hold the market:
- You are asked to follow a one-way system
- You may be asked to wait if the market is at capacity
- Sanitizers will be widely available
- You will need to wear a mask
- All vendors are appropriately distanced and the event is in the open air
- We will take your contact details for tracing
Thank you in advance for helping everyone stay safe.
There is free parking in the King St. parking lot (on the North side of King St. opposite Benson Park) with a free electric charging station.
Volunteer to help!
Because of Covid19, the season-long farmers’ market in Picton was put on pause for 2020. Now we are looking for people to join a farmers’ market sub-committee over the winter to work towards an independent, non-profit entity for 2021. Please contact Elis, Chair of the Picton Town Hall Board if you can help: firstname.lastname@example.org
