The chart below clearly describes the work and potential time commitment for each position. We are looking for volunteers at both the board and sub-committee levels.

Treasurer

 

 

 

Area: Finance

Primary Responsibilities:

  • As per Terms of Reference, ensures accurate financial accounting of all PTH Board activities and lead the Finance & Fundraising Committees.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Financial background
  • Able to be appointed to the Board by Council
  • Non-profit and social enterprise experience an asset

Time Commitment:

  • Attend bi-weekly board meetings
  • Attend subcommittee meetings to end of term (2024)

  • Board

Bookings Assistant

 

 

 

 

 

Area: Finance

Role: Bookings Volunteer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the incoming requests for bookings and assist front end-users with bookings platform

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and
    organizational skills
  • Ability to navigate electronic and in-person booking requirements
  • Manage bookings information
  • Work with the Treasurer and Finance Committee

Time Commitment:

  • 20 hours/mth

Reports to:

  • Treasurer

Farmers Market Sub-Committee Members

 

 

Area: Farmers Market

Role: Sub-Committee Members

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the organizing and implementation of the Picton Farmer’s Market

Qualifications:

  • Agricultural/maker experience preferred
  • Commitment to sustainable local agri-economy
  • Commitment to a non-profit social enterprise model
  • Small business management experience

Time Commitment:

  • Monthly meetings and seasonal activities as required

Reports to:

  • Vice Chair, Farmer’s Market Lead

 

Front/Back-End Web Developer

 

Area: Communications

Role: Front/Back End Web Developer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain technical aspects of both Picton Town Hall and Picton Farmer’s Market websites
  • Maintain integration of County booking platform
  • Assist PTH Board and users with access to website and bookings

Qualifications:

  • Webmaster experience
  • Ability to work with diverse end-users and Board of Management
  • Proficiency with WordPress and integrations, API, eCommerce

Time Commitment:

  • 15 hours per month as required

Reports to:

  • Communications Committee

 

Digital Marketing Lead

 

Area: Communications

Role: Digital Marketing Intern

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project manage digital marketing platforms
  • Work with communications committee to standardize digital roll-out

Qualifications:

  • Digital marketing experience
  • Non-profit experience an asset
  • This position would be an ideal way for a Digital Marketing student or undergraduate to gain valuable work experience while supporting the community.

Time Commitment:

  • 20 hours per month as required

Reports to:

  • Communications Committee

 

Marketing Lead

 

Area: Communications

Role: Marketing Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the communications committee with branding, key messaging
  • Develop a style guide and resource documents
  • Manage press releases
  • Monitor and report news relevant to PTH.

Qualifications:

  • Traditional and digital marketing knowledge and experience
  • Non-profit experience an asset
  • This position would be an ideal way for a Marketing/Digital Marketing student or undergraduate to gain valuable work experience while supporting the community.

Time Commitment:

  • 10 hours per month for a period of 6 months
